take the door trim off so that i can get to the lock ??

any instructions / diagrams / pictures would be very helpfull

 

Mate (im assusming you mean the internal door card???)

Its quite an easy task

Run your hand along the bottom over the card tugging gently and this should unpopper the bottom half.

Pull up the Elecy window controller from the front - Spring loaded clip! and then undo the bolt underneath.

There is a small square cover in the middle of the door card, pop that out with a small bladed screwdriver, Undo the bolt underneath.

Then pull out the small gromett by the door hinges.

The whole card should be rather loose and can be removed by a gental tug upwards (easier with window open).

You should then be able to get to the door locks.

I think that Chiark had some instructions on his website, with piccys!!!.

You also need to remove the plastic trim round the handle - it just unclips. No need to remove the screw behind it - the handle stays on the door.
