Any suggestions?

if its just for an oil change some garages use an oil extraction pipe that goes down the dipstick hole and sucks the oil out!

no need to remove the sump plug

hope this helps.

Use a Stilson type tool. Harder you push the harder it grips.
Dont suck oil out as taking ou the pug will also let out any crap thats rested in the sump.

Chip.

Hammer a smaller socket over it and/or use a file on the nut to reshape it. Then buy a new sump plug!
