Question

1. Did you get Subaru to fix it?
2. If not, who fixed it?
3. Did it cost you, if so how much?
4. Was your car modified (e.g. exhaust & induction)
5. If you had it fixed for free, did you go to IM direct or did the dealer sort that out?

Many thanks,
Jay

On my car the noise seems to be coming from the front right (looking from the front of the car into the engine bay) cylinder.

Would this be piston number 4? It sounds like it could even be coming from the the cambelt area though! Going to try and record it so someone can have a listen. Need a laptop though as I can't get my car into the house!

I took my old car in for it and got it fixed under warranty. Got the car back and it still made the noise I took it in for, turns out I was listening to the boost solenoid thinking that was the slap!

I never heard it making the real slap but hey!
