My terzo is fitted with a Unichip (blue) version A what ever that is
Anyway.... the insurance companies dont like it at all and its costing me a fortune to insure with the chip in the car.
I figure most of the time i dont need the extra BHP and certainly dont need the inflated insurance cost
So, i am looking for someone or a place that can properly remove the chip and return the engine to standard BHP output.
I am totally clueless regarding these things, does it mean i will need a standard ecu to replace the unichip? or does the unichip unplug and the standard ecu need remapping? or have i got it totally wrong ?
I would rather not travel miles and miles to get this done and would like it taken out asap.. anyone that can give me any advise or recommend a place, i would be very grateful
Thanks
Chris

I know this isnt a normal question. IE its usually the other way round, but i really need to get this removed.
Surely someone knows someone or a some place to get this done?

Do a search on Unichip, I did a quick one and from one of the threads it appears Powerstation fit them, if they fit them they should be able to tell you more about them and possibly set you car back to std.

I hear what you are saying, but insurance comapanies these days will find it if they want to in the event of a claim.
Another reason i want it taken out.... the fookin thing is making my car boost to 24psi and hold at 18psi
whilst that might sound impressive, i dont want a fooked engine.
David,
Im going to mail you matey
