How are you supposed to remove the rear number plate lights on an my99 ?? they are rusted up solid. the only thing I can think to do is buy two complete new assemblies, rust proof them and fit stainless screws before fitting them.

Griffm,

I had to drill out the existing bolts and replace them with stainless jobbies. Managed to save the light unit itself tho. Not a great bit of design.

Yep, i had to drill mine out too on a MY 98

wasnt too much of a job to do really, use a cordless drill on a fairly slow speed
