was bugged by some one at work saying they had a P reg UK impreza with centre, back box and filter modifications and they did runs at elvington, and they supposedly left evos and the like < cough>and someone told hin off his runs etc etc his car has an estimated bhp of 270bhp

am i just stupid , or can this be true, he says his car does 0-60 in 4.6 secs!!!!!

and all this from an exhaust and filter

ive changed every exhaust part on the car and here is some one who has found utopia

If he's raised the boost with a Dawes or simalar he could be right.
I'm running 274bhp on a my97(P reg) UK with full exhaust, HKS ind kit and a Dawes

No idea on the 0-60 time though.

dont think he beat the evo if he did.. (there was only one)

4.6 is achievable How did he time it though...

Beating someone doesnt really count.. his time does though.

Sounds like the same one that Harvey is refering to in Nortthern, Elvington results thread. Assuming he was there last Sunday.

TBH a lot of the 1/4mile time is down to technique IMO. Steve, get yourself down there on the 27th April.

he probably did beat the evo's as i have just got rid of a 330bhp evo 5 and now i am again for the 3rd time a scooby wrx owner,my scooby has a full very large zorst, dump valve, and a collins power chip running 20psi and i could defoe say its much much quicker than my evo ever was and handles 100% better than the evo

Steve a 1/4 mile blast, which Elvington is, is no different to setting off from the traffic lights quickly, where the speed limits allow, IMO.

It is certainly better than a rolling road, as IMO, you dont get enough cooling on a RR.

Come and have a go

Ive got a my97 on a P. Also got the same mods. At york last year i got a 13.7 1/4 mile. A few months back at a magazine shootout with proper timing gear i managed a 4.8. So i guess it is possible.
