Can warming up your car from standstill cause problems ???
#1
Most mornings, my daughter starts my car and warms it up (mean I know) and waits for me to take her to school. It can be warming up for a good 10 minutes every day with the accelerator not being touched.
It always seems to run badly after this and for the rest of the day, even with stops and starts in between. The boost waivers etc.
Is there anything in the ECU etc that gathers or stores info which this warmin up may be causing to go loopy ? Are there any devices that can be damaged (commonly) by warmin the car at stand still ?
Reason why I have asked is that since I have stopped warming it up in this way it runs better than ever ?? Which is a bit odd. I will try reverting back to warming it up again in a few weeks to test the theory, but want to make the most of its good running for now incase its a fluke..
