Question

have just bought wrx 95 model import just wondering which is the best oil to use by the way has 83000 miles on clock with fairly extensive history but doesnt say which oil any help apreciated

mobil 1 motorsport 15w 50 fully synthetic oil, the other top 2 are castrol rs 15w60 and motul 300v 15w 50. All fully synthetic

Should also state that original subaru oilfilters are the only ones you should use!! (unless you want big bills!) and ensure you use super unleaded fuel (and octane booster if poss to ensure your at the 100 ron mark!)

I would change of oil as often as you can afford. I prefer to change every 3,750-4000 miles. It is much cheaper than a new engine. The boxer design is more succeptable to moisture ingress than some other engine designs so the oil degrades faster. I was told this by Subaru tech so I presume it is true.
