Bump Steer ? From America

Hi,
I thought I knew a lot about making an Impreza handle until I stumbled on you guys today! I'm active in several US Impreza Technical forums but nobody has ever discussed the Bump Steer mod that I can remember!
I've done a search here, and a lot of people have raved about this mod.
One question though, I did see one post (and one post only out of probably hundreds) that mentioned that this does not nee to be done on a New-Age Impreza ('01-'02 UK, I guess, '02-'03 US). Can anyone confirm (or deny) this?
