I have recently bought a Subaru STI(265HP) and I want more power...

What is the best path to the 300HP mark, Exhaust, ECU?

...must say I don't know much about remapping ECUs since I haven't done it on my car

having said that though you should get 300 out of your baby easy, if you get a full decat exhaust system - I got about 50 extra with mine I reckon (TSL Group N sys on an MY02WRX)

 

Be very careful about Decatting the 02 STI, there is a know boost control problem in that situation.
