I was just about have a Superchip fitted to my 94 WRX Type RA, when I did a search and saw all the negative and worrying comments.

My car is rapid, what with the close ratio box etc, but as its a very early Type RA, I think the standard power output is 240bhp (or PS, can't remember which).

Can anyone recommend some safe power mods for my car please?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Cheers
Richard

The BEST way to chip your car is to buy a www.scoobyecu.co.uk.

This is under £100 and will give you a reliable map with plenty of power and very driveable. It has had a lot of good reports on scoobynet.

THEN you will need to buy a knocklink. This will warn you if you are about to blow your engine up.

THEN you can get an exhaust....airfilter.....blah blah blah.

ScoobyECU, exhaust (full decat), maybe Airfilter, and knocklink should see you with at least 270bhp. Probably loads more.
