The petrol gauge on my 95 wrx is not working. I persume it is the sender, I had a quick look underneath and could not see it on the tank , Anyone know the location on the tank or had similar problems?

If you look in the boot under the carpet there is a metal cover near the right hand corner next to the rear seat. Remove and this exposes the fuel sender unit.
IIRC there were some issue's regarding dodgy sender wiring/connections. Worth investigating.
