I'm coming up to 1000 miles in my MY03 WRX with PPP kit. Compared to the standard WRX demonstrator it only feels slightly faster. I'm guessing to protect the engine over the first 1,000 miles the dealer has either not yet fitted the Prodrive ECU or has limited the boost until I bring it in for it's service?

I was under the impresion that they didnt fit PPP's on new cars untill the first service (1,000 miles).
Have you had the car from new ? and did you ask for a PPP to be fitted (about £2,000).
It may be that they are waiting for you to bring it in for its first service to fit the PPP but you would have thought they would have told you ?
If its got a PPP then it should have a Prodrive exhaust if not then it will still have the small twin exhaust...whats yours got ?

It does have the full, large single bore Prodrive exhaust on it. - Looks and sounds great. For running in, the dealer said it would be ok to go up to 5,000rpm. I'm close to 1,000 miles so I've been popping up to 5,000rpm. The power builds up well from 3,000 rpm to 4,000, but after 4,000 rpm it doesn't seem to get any stronger. It's at 4,000rpm I'd expect it to really give you a shove in the back.
