Question

Just had an STI 5 spolier fitted in place of the old low level one on my MY95 WRX but now the boot slams shut cos of the extra weight.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get stronger boot springs or something to stop this happening ?

Cheers El

It was sensible! I had that problem when i had mine fitted, but being careful means it won't slam.

S'pose it doesn't help when the GF comes to do it though

Are the two rubber cone shaped bumpers still in place under the boot lid?
They pop in over one of the bolt holes on each side, the guy that fitted mine left them off causing it to bang shut, when he replaced them after I pointed it out it improved the closing 100%
