its not really a performance hike (although they do flow better) its more to do with safety, they are Soooo much stronger than the original set up, and defo worth the upgrade...

You'd get a greater performance gain from having a dump before going in the car. The only reason for getting them is if you are concerned about the OE ones splitting or if you want your engine to look good

Did honestly notice a performance difference when I fitted Samcos.

Could have been because one of the OE hoses was not fitted correctly or slightly perished or expanding blah blah . . . . but the car certainly pulled slightly harder once I had fitted them.

As I was having the Tek2.5 and boost obviously increased they were highly recommended by John Banks.

They certainly made a difference.
Without altering my Dawes Device, immediately before fitting -seeing just under 17psi boost in car in fourth(never hitting fuel cut even in fifth), immediately after fitting - hitting fuel cut every time I put my foot down in fourth and seeing 18psi plus in fifth(before backing off and turning my DD down by three quarters of a turn).

Now I'm no expert but this certainly confirms at least a 0.5-1.0psi pressure drop across the original hoses(on MY99). Not sure if the hoses are the same on MY01 though.

Feels a little more lively now too. Not bad for 1 hours work and a few skinned knuckles!

Si - fitted mine about 3 weeks ago and can still see the marks from the skinned knuckles.

Exactly 7F!

Also burnt me fingers, but didn't want to post it as I knew some clever dick would say "Shoulda let the engine cool first"

Spot on!

These things are far too exciting to have to wait for. Lift the bonnet, blow on the hot bits then. . to work!
