Hopefully my car (MY98) will be going in to get the piston slap fixed soon.

My question is, has anyone had problems with they Scooby after the piston slap was fixed?

Any tips

What is bieng done to fix the prob as usually it's a new short motor job(unless it's a sport)which is what mine had 10'000 miles before i bought it and it runs like a dream ,(old heads onto new block/cyls/pistons)this is not gospel though as i'm no expert.

Dan, I had a new short engine under warranty from Subaru some time ago. It returned.

Scoobysport did mine for an excellent price. All good now & hasn't returned yet, only a couple of months ago though

Subaru replaced 3 pistons on my MY97 under warranty cos of slap. Car longer mine, no idea if it came back.
