Question

Hi all

Just wondering how difficult this would be for my MY98 UK Impreza Turbo and would it be a DIY task? Anyone have any step by step instructions? Any issues with bleeding the system afterwards?

Also, what type of fluid is best i.e. DOT rating?

Cheers

Gavin

It's easy mate, done it at the weekend.
Use Dot 5 and a one man bleed pipe (oneway valve)you can get this in Halfords about £3 saves getting her indoors involved.
There are two bleed nipples first on clutch damper block behind drivers side suspension (follow pipe from master cylinder) and one on the slave cylinder (remove intercooler)
Fill reservoir with dot 5, attach bleed pipe to first nipple and loosen half a turn then pump the pedal until clean fluid comes through the pipe without air bubbles then tighten nipple top up reservoir again and repeat with second nipple.
Job done.
It will feel like a new clutch.
