I've just got a my00 standard UK car. I've been told that the 802 ecu is a bit tame on the 00s and I can swap it for a my99 800 or 801 that has a bit more grunt.

Can I simple swap them over and that is it, or do I need the car set up, keys coded etc.

Any body done it and had good results or any advice?

Cheers Carlos

Yep, just a straight swap-over.

Don't think you'll notice a huge difference. It just smooths out some of the hesitation introduced with the newer ECU.
