Question

Hi,

My scoob is gonna go for its first test soon,in the local paper a big dealer is advertising free mot's yes free you also get free retest if the failure work is done there. The only thing i can see my scoob maybe failing on is the emissions as i've got a decat DP so will an 801 or 802 ecu be better for the test as i will have the choice of either will a reset make any difference.

You say you have a de-cat downpipe, what about the centre cat.?
With no cats it will fail, with the centre cat it may make it as long as it is well up to temp. When you completly de-cat a car you should remember two things 1) Your car is now illegal on the road. 2) Come MOT time you will have to bolt a cat back on. Alternatively you could find a bent MOT tester!

dont make sure its up to temp, get it hot & ask them to test that first, you dont say what year the car is, but my 93 wrx totaly cat free passed the just, even though it did not in theory have to
