Anybody installed a White Dial Kit?

Considering installing a white dial kit in a 1997 5dr Turbo, UK spec.

Is it easy are the screws to remove the dash easily accessable and obvious, any help appreciated.

White dials are pretty easy, though you may have to take the needles off!!! Some kits you can just slip over the needles

yep i did and fecked my revcounter lockwood 180mph white dials look sweet tho. luvverly green glow when the lights are on. funnily enough the harder 2 dials i.e. the fuel gauge and temp gauge work perfectly. a fiddly ballixy job if u ask me but it had to be done. gona try and get a new dash now. does anyone know if a uk dial kit will fit and work in a jap motor.

be careful of the temp and fuel needles as i know of at least three people who have had to buy new gauges because they broke the needles when fitting them..!

If i knew then what i know now then i wouldn't have bothered,broke 2 rev counters and a fuel guage,they may look nice but are a complete bast..d.still haven't fixed the rev counter,was thinking about removing it altogether and fitting a defi rev counter,Cheers Alan...

Fecked my rev counter too, Had to get the second one really warm with the hairdryer to pop the needle off, Still was bloody tight & now reads 1000 rpm low, But it's going to stay like that. Worth it in the end though IMHO.

I broke my revcounter as well (had to pay an extra £60 for another one), I suggest you get a set that doesn't require you to remove the needles, it looks almost the same anyway if you go for the front-lit version.
I got my set from MJDesigns, and the fuel and temp were made so that the needles didn't have to be removed. Dunno if they're back in business regarding these dial kits yet, but they can surely make you a set with big enough holes to slip over the needles...
