Forester Reversing Warning on WRX
#1
I am thinking of puting the Subaru audible reversing warning system on my WRX. It is listed as available for the Forester
It cost about £170.
Has anyone fitted the kit or been in a car that has the system fitted. If so opinion please.

It is an ultrasonic sensor that tells you when you are too near the object you are reversing too. On the WRX the height of the seats means it is difficult to see where the back of the car is. On the Impreza TS that I drove smaller seats and better visability when reversing.

Oh! In that case although I havent tried the above exact system, I have tried a similar system in a Korrando.
It beeps as you approach an obstacle and beeps quicker as you get nearer. The system I tried also had some lights (LEDs) that gave an indication in green that built up to a red light which meant stop.
Quite useful, but doesnt always detect bollards if they are centred between the sensors.
