which would be the best centre to fit to a prodrive backbox

either the scoobysport centre which i have or the magnex centre with resonator

 

The Magnex centre with a resonator will probably be a bit quieter than the straght through SS.

 

If you've already got a scoobysport, it's not a big job to fit, so I'd try that first - if it's too loud, get a resonated magnex!

 

so they are both of equal quality

 

Magnex is better mate!

 

They're all the same m8, only difference is the resonating types e.g. STI and Magnex. They're very slightly more restrictive and will keep the noise from the backbox down.

You'll not notice any performance increase from just changing the centre unless you have loads of mods, so decide if you'd like to keep the backbox noise down or make it live a little more, then just pick one too match your budget.

It's a bit more decisive with choosing backboxes (due to their individual noises) and the downpipe (more like choosing a backbox).

Performance gains replacing DP, centre and backbox is where you'll notice it, but will be roughly the same with the different manufactures.
