Can anybody please help or advise?

Last week the engine management (check engine) light flashed on briefly.
Since then it has come on a couple of times, however I have started to notice a pattern.

The check light comes on when the engine is idling, ie when giving way at a junction or when coasting if coming to a stop.
If I just apply the accelerator pedal the warning light goes out. Even the smallest touch of the accelerator is enough.

On Saturday I tried an ECU reset and since the check light has not come on.

For info the car is a UK 98MY with de-cat exhaust and has been re-mapped by Power engineering all about six months ago with no problems.

Coincidently the car is booked in for a service this week so the dealer may be able to pin point the problem.

Thanks in advance,
Graham.
