97 WRX - over 50 mph I get alot of wind noise from the front of both front doors around the mirror area, is this a common problem and is it curable? Thanks in antisipation.

I get the same noise with my '97 WRX Sti.

Check the door seal - mine was twisted so it wasn't sealing properly, hence the wind sound.

Hope this helps.

can be caused smetimes by the window glass being out of adjustment. So, with a bit of perseverance, the glass can be moved a bit and stop a majority of the noise. just to check this, just simply "edge" the glass down slightly and see if the noise goes. If not, then yes, all you can hear is the mirrors.

Same with my nearside window.
Lots of noise, but not all the time.

Rubber is not twisted, and there is a wind deflector too.
I blame the misses for previously shutting the door by the window. Yes, did tell her to use the metal of the door, not the window itself.

If you open and shut the window, this mostly works. Or if you do the window up to the max, that sometimes works. Not always though.
