Brake Fluid - When to change?
#1
Guys
A general question not for my Scoob, but the wife's Ibiza.
It's now 3 yrs old and covered 13500miles. Should I bother to change the brake fluid yet?
The main bit of my question is that as she only potters about (LOL)she hasn't cooked the brake fluid, but does it deteriorate significantly within 3 yrs?
Your views are most welcome.

wouldn't normally run any car for longer than 18-24months, regardless of use, as fluid is hydroscopic i.e. attracts water and therefore becomes less effective...........
on our competing vehicles we change after every event!
