Steve when you went in mine it had 3" taper to 2.5" Scoobysport downpie, magnex resonator centre and Scoobysport back box.

It now has hayward & scott (old scoobysport) 3" downpipe, and hks super dragger 3" back.

Depends what your ultimate goal is.

3" through is good thoough,. i have also lagged my new downpipe, which strangely has made it quieter in the cabin.

Thumbs up

Steve

The std DP and center is 2.25 and the prodrive BB is 2.5 so this way is OK.

IMHO I would try and go for a system that is 2.5 all the way through. I don't believe that 'bigger to smaller' can be a good thing (just ask the girls!).

If noise is your thing then go magnex decat non res centre and matching DP. If you prefer quieter then replace the center with a resonated decat magnex or an sti/P1 jobbie. Any open neck 2'5 DP will do the job. I'm not sure if it really makes much difference going for twin dump DP or Open neck. Just get one that fits!

The T65 downpipe is a closed wastegate design. Personally I would go for an open neck, such as the Hayward & Scott, Scoobysport or TSL.

http://shop.scoobynet.co.uk/Product.asp?ProductID=326 as an example of cost.

As for noise levels, I have the Scoobysport (Hayward and Scott made) Downpipe, a Magnex straight through centre and a Prodrive PPP backbox. I think that it sounds great, can still do subtle but if I put my foot down I get a lovely roar!

probably right on the 0-60, its the bit after that that counts.

lets just say, at certain time and place, coming off a round about at about 1500rpm in 2nd it went off the clock in just under a mile, 2 witnesses in my car at the time, and 2 in the car behind.

believe me its amazing.

try and give yourself a test, find someone who has an STi5 RA, and try keep with it from 30 to 100. No chance!!!

I did, and when i went into 4th i think i had him then (what do you think John).

believ me, there is a BIG difference between 270bhp and 240lbft torgue, and 338bhp and 313ftlb.

I am happy, that makes it worth the money

i nearly bought an sti ra version 6 but i was more worried about someone wanting it more than me so i settled with brit impreza than suffer any horror sytories myself, now wish i was in the position to complain about the horror stories these brit imprezas are just too slow. once you get past 1st gear you could fall asleep for how quick the pickup is, maybe i just expected more but cmon everyone who drives one knows there really slow. if it wasnt bad enough i had a supercharged mini put its foot down trying too egg me on, i refuse to enter these silly boy racer threats erh in case he beat me hehehehehe no chance
