voltage on a my94 wrx

all my bulbs on my wrx are 14v and all the local shops have never kept 14v bulbs, any ideas, does this mean i need a 14v stereo, and why are they not 12v, thanks in advance

Last time I checked, every car in the known universe ran a 12V battery, 13.5V at idle and upto 14Volts at full chat.

I think you are coming up against the "Watts in a name" problem. Har har.

no there definately 14 v and there 5 watts, the sidelight bulbs that is and the dash bulbs are 14v 3.4 watt
