Hi John,
A couple of questions i have a my00 dont know what ecu as i've never bothered looking probably the bad one as it hesitates etc, running a decat down, centre cat, scoobymania rear mbc 16/17 peak,14 held, pipercross filter in airbox, resonator removed.
I need some more go in it as i'm bored with the car. Will the tek 2 be ok if put in now and centre cat removed later or will a custum map be better, also i'm not a great fan of the mbc as peak varies too much dependant on weight in car, gear etc.Can you raise the boost with the remap and leave the standard solenoid in place. What is boost cut about17/18.
Thanks Paul

Scooby sport, peak varies by about 2 psi depending if family in car, hav'nt played with mbc much so will try altering wastegate preload and playing a bit, what about a relief valve so it cant have the 2 psi difference.

Std boost cut is 17.6 PSI.
Tek 2 or 2.5 (see my profile and site) has a 19.6 PSI boost cut and a 16.0 or 17.6 PSI boost target respectively. Tek 2.5 on most cars in summer runs 16.5-17.5 PSI, in winter 17.5-18 PSI. Depends on breathing.
Your MBC sounds quite peaky, but the standard 2 port solenoid suffers with the same. A 3 port solenoid may help you if you want smoothness and good control.
Tek 2 or 2.5 are OK with centre cats in but better without, especially Tek 2.5.
If your car has issues with boost spikes, it may be that there is a problem which will need attention.
Your car has the bad AE802 I would imagine. Pipercross is asking for a failed MAF sensor also and should be switched IMHO to the original airbox or a K&N 57i if you must have an induction kit.
