There is much reluctance in the use of supermarket SUL. People shouldnt be too scared in using it as the petrol companies have to obide by certain standards in order for them to sell the petrol. Some companies surpass the standards by a mile, others just about pass. This is the difference between good and bad petrol.

Cheers

I've not yet tried any supermarket petrol of any type on mine - usually BP (closest station to home) or if I can and happen to be near one with it, Shell Optimax. The supermarket stuff is relegated to my Corsa (and to use up the vouchers from food shopping). But I do notice that Optimax appears to be smoother/better than BP SUL. Placebo effect or not (the marketing, other people's dedication to it), I'm not sure.
