Monkey,

First of all, be prepared to replace some of the plastic fittings, the whole bumper is held on by push in clips and a couple of plastic screws. You will break/mangle/completely destoy some of them!

You'll also need to remove the rear lights, this is a pain in the @rse as these are sealed in with a mastic sealer, lost of pushing and pulling is needed and an 8mm spanner to remove the retaining bolts.

Then its just a case of pushing out the plastice clips from either below or above the bumper, in the case of the clips that where under the lights.

This helps a bit.

Pete

madras,
What clips behind the lights?
Did you just take the skin off?

I thought there were 4 bolts under the car(2 either side) and the breakable black clips in the arches. I didn't touch my rear lights when I took my rear bumper off!
Need to remember to desconect the number plate lights!!
Then the whole thing slides out on the hanger bracket

Iain.

Talking

Moderators are always right

Madras' way would remove the bumper skin and not the hangers (I think). It's easier to just unbolt the whole thing!

Sorry for not replying - just had a week off.

The way I descibed does just remove the skin, I must admit i didn't realise there was another way - you live and learn!
