It uses the OBD (on-board diagnostics) Select Monitor connection thats under the steering column, it uses all the existing sensors that the ECU has access to and displays them in real-time.

An oil temperature sensor is the only sensor that would require retro fitting as these are not standard on Imprezas.

I have seen it in the flesh and its a very spinky bit of kit.

Lol, re-read your question, Doh !

No you dont need the guages, they look bloody hideous I think.

See you saturday shane,
Bruce £295,

Front panel finish is something we are still debating may offer 2 finishes black and silver ( to suit MY01+ cars better ).

Tony, we do intend on a version for earlier cars, we will need a donor car, contact me if your interested ? , OBD (diagnostic reading) is only available for cars with the 16 pin diagnostic socket output, but other features will be available.

Simon,

looks a great product!
so are you using OBD or the Subaru select protocol?

if OBD then sorry all out there, thats only 99-> (boo hoo)
(unless I'm wrong again - which wouldnt supprise me!)

if select, then could be made to work with pre 99's!!

Si, any chance of doing a custom carbon jobby to match the rest of my interior ?

I see you have the 'cheapo' standard finish still

Shane, are you related to Uri Geller , we have just been looking at the unit fitted in the cars and talking about that very thing, will definately offer black or silver and almost certainly carbon fibre. Could be made from real carbon sheet or the stick on variety. We can chat some more tomorrow.

Like it a lot.......

Will it plug into the Motec M800 unit, or indeed the diagnostics plug for mapping already in the car? If it does REALLY interested, and with a silver face and blue finish to boot....... SOLD!!

Thanks In advance

Excuse my ignorance

But do you need the gauges or will the unit work on its own

would be very interested if it does not need the gauges
