Dear Yorkie,

Thnaks for the help and advice you've put in the thread below:

http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=87431

However It's not fixed my car yet ! Is their a difference between WD40/DuckOil and the PTFE lubricant, that worked for you ? I've not been able to find any PTFE and the Duck Oil/WD40 hasn't solved the problem.

My dealer's suggestingt to treat the b-pillar with wax to see if it fixes it !!

It's not the spot welds in the bottom of the b-pillar either !!

I've tried some GT85 with PTFE and the problem is greatly reduced. However I'd like to totally solve this. Would there be any improvement in using a PTFE only spray instead of the GT85 ?

I'm amazed IM don't appear to have a fix for this.

Cheers,

Ian

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the reply. Is it easy to remove/refit the striker plate and how do you align it correctly after refitting ?

Cheers,

Ian
