Unhappy

Just bought my new scooby, my00 5dr.

Went to fill it with fuel for the first time..... (only partial fill before)

Fuel pi$4ing out all over the forcourt floor......

Seems to be coming from the top of the fuel tank, or a hose in that area.

Quite a scary sight when I went to pay, only to lok out the window and see a stream of petrol coming out from under the car.

The first time I put fuel in it was not a total fill, and did not have this problem, now that I have done a few miles there is no more dripping.....

So seems to be only when the tank is full to the brim, although there is a strong smell of petrol immediately after a drive.

Anyone else had this problem, and any suggestions?

Am taking it in to Suberu dealer on friday, so will find out the lowdown then...... but if any of you have had a similar experience, then please share.

Thought of a loose pipe/hose....

But it DOES NOT HAPPEN if I only partially fill the tank....

Only a "full to the brim" one does it.
