hmm have u checked ur codes on the ECu using the oul black connectors under the dash, to confirm its ur maf, how did u reset the ecu? I prefer to leave the battery diconnected for an hour to be sure it is possible to damage the maf during fitting but im sure u were careful (didnt drop it did ya? ) check that all connectors are secure ?!?
good luck
cheers

what i did was have it put on a select monitor and up it came that it was the maf apperently it was only producing 0.2 volts when it should be 1.5volts(apperently) i connected the two plugins under dash but since then i have like you say disconnected the battery like you say and no i didn`t drop the maf allthough who knows if the dealer etc.. did
waiting for another hour or so until i connect the battery and then fingers crossed
thanks for the reply mark

i dont know whether to laugh or cry i didn`t need a maf sensor at all
listen to this a couple of months ago i made a cold air feed by running some samco hose running it into the inner wing and fitting a k&n induction kit on the end of it this meant altering the maf sensor housing and for some stupid reason i fitted it back round the wrong way
so i have been running the car for 2 months with the maf pointing the wrong way
now i cant beleive that the car has been running up to now like this and also how comes if the old one worked for a little while backwards how comes the new one didn`t
anyway i dont care if i look a plonker i have a spare maf and the car feels as if it has ann extra 40bhp
i also hve avo coilovers and the scoob now has no understeer and seems to handle on rails cant wait for it to be alligned

paul have you had your avos fitted yet as you probably know i had plenty trouble fitting them but now they are on i am releived that it was worth it
spoke to a guy at avo and he told me
1) centre of the wheel to the edge of the wheelarch should be 340mm
2)the dampers should be set to 1 full turn clockwise from the fully anti clockwise point for fast road settings and 2.5 turns for trackdays
i hope that helps

saturday morning suddenly the check engine light cmes on and the car starts kangerooing all over the place
so quickly i was able to get it on to a select monitor which tells me that the maf sensor has gone
so i get a maf sensor cartridge from subaru for £72 and fit it do a ecu reset and off i go thinking i will be getting my car back
but ohhhh no the car is the same
so is there anymore i should be doing or is it possible that something else has gone wrong
the place i had it on the select monitor was a specialist so it would be a bit funny for me to go back even though they told me what the problem was and it appears it hasn`t sorted it
if you were wondering why i didn`t go with them it is becouse i was quoted £180 for doing it and that was a second hand one and i thought that was a bit much for a part that cost £72 brand new
