I don't think there is one, but it's been a while since I saw an STI with the old dash.

I believe the petrol lights didn;t appear until after the 97 facelift...

I have a UK MY98 no petrol light in that one just wait till the needle reads below the bottom line and then its time to fill up

Must be the MY00 or something when they added the petrol light, I assumed it was when the MOMO wheels and the indicators changed sides..

Anyway MY96 has no petrol light, UK, WRX and STI.. as far as I am aware anyway..

So don't run out of petrol waiting for light..

I can run mine to middle of the E on the gauge and it then takes about 55litres to fill.. so there is 5litres layering bottom of tank and it coughs on fast bends..

Be careful - I heard that some of the early cars had a 50 litre tank, not a 60 litre.

It's a November 96, do you think this is a 50ltrs or 60ltrs?

I'm not sure - it's just something I remember from the SIDC FAQ.

I have never put more than 48 litres in my 96 UK at a time, so unless my petrol gauge is being conservative (no bad thing) I have a 50 litre tank.
