Oil pressure needle. I'm worried about causing damage by driving before it reaches half way (About 7-8 mins)

Oil needle???? Are you looking at a gauge pack that you got with the car, or looking at the main console where the Rev counter, speedo, fuel, etc are??

If the latter you are looking at the water temp!
