Hi,am about to put my system into my99 scooby and wil be disconnecting battery to put a heavier duty one in its place. With my previous cars ive put the alarms into valet mode etc,is there any proceedure I have to follow to disconnect and re-connect?
Have read different things with ecu checks etc after people have messed around and want to be sure before I carry on.
Thanks Gene

My 99 was quite happy to be disconnected while the sound system was installed. Go for it

Reset my ECU this way - with Clifford alarms no problems as long as in valet mode.

What exactly happens when the ecu gets re-set,is it a good or bad thing?Have read about people saying they have re-set them after using different petrols, how do you do this.
