Having dropped the latch slightly for a tighter fit I notice the fit isnt even, i.e more gap at the edge of boot to light cluster at one side more than the other. Are uneven boot fits just something to put up with or should I start unbolting the hinges?
Advice Apreciated.

When you work it out, let me know please. I'm getting to the point of trying to swing on the hinges to deform them to fit the boot lid nicely...

I don't think there is any tolerance in the bolts on the top of the boot lid.

BTW - how do the pics look from Monday?
Should have some new wheels on by Friday

try not tightening the four bolts as tight then get someone to move to bootlid to fit when you are in the boot tighting the lid!

The bolts nearest the back seats?
Presume then the boot needs to be closed when I do the final tighten then, plus a bit of sticky tape to keep the light on then.
Christ, the missus will probably leave me in there!
Cheers.

Cheers HK - you do mean the bolts furthest away then, not the ones on the lid?
