I've just bought and fitted a Forge VTA DV and drove to work. Problem is I can't hear it!?

The way I fitted it was, remove the old dv from the intercooler and take off the two connecting pipes. Take the cardboard spacer from the old dv and put it on the new dv, re-fitted the new dv and connected up the small rubber pipe. Blocked up the large rubber pipe at the end it used to connect to the old dv with, with the stopper provided.

I'm told it has the red spring in the new dv, could this be why I'm not getting any dump noise? Or is it cause I used the old spacer on the new dv? Am I supposed to just bolt it straight to the intercooler wall?

Please help, I neeeeeeeeeeeeeed some thskkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

(Car is a P1 but I think all V5 cars have the same dv).

IIRC the red spring is quite hard. Call Forge and ask them to send you a blue spring, its softer.Sorry haven't got the number.

Do you mean I can get the blue spring for free? Does anyone know Forge's phone number?

Ok called them and there's a new spring coming out in the post freeeeeeeeeeee!

Those of you that have fitted these, did you bolt the new dv straight onto the intercooler or did you use the old gasket?

I bought my Forge VTA dump valve second hand, and it didn't make a noise when I fitted it. Forge got me to send it to them and they fully serviced it and replaced all the internal parts, then tested it and sent it back to me free of charge. They did this even though I bought it second hand because they said that all Forge products have a lifetime warranty.

As you can imagine I was incredibly impressed and therefore would recommend Forge products to anyone and everyone.

Regards

Rich
