strange noise on my00

here's one for the experts..!

weird noise, almost like blowing over bottle/vibrating - quite loud - BUT, only when the engine is pretty warm and raising the clutch - only happens when stuck in traffic or around town for a few miles.

seems harmless, only ever appears when pulling away

Ideas???

Sounds like it may be ur Dump valve, the problem is decribed on the excellent SIDC faq page www.sidc.co.uk
its a common prob on earlier scoobs, might be worth checking...

edited: to say i must be going mad, not sure if the DV is active at low revs, not very techy sorry

yep, always first gear, always in heavy traffic/stop-start driving...

it's fine at all other times - weird eh?

could be the clutch release bearing, there was a thread on this a little while ago, Oh mine does it not quite a screech a lower freqency, seems only when hot and moving off from standstill ( but not all the time).

Ray T - sounds like that could be it, a low bass buzz sound when moving off in stop/start conditions..!

anybody know a fix?
