Question

Yep, I've tried releasing the handbrake

Does the light double up as a wear indicator (I don't think so), or can it warn you of low fluid? (I've checked and it isn't low).

Or is it a simple case that the switch/wire on the handbrake is broken?

I've just done a trackday and the brakes took a pounding . Anyone else had this problem?

Justin

Low brake fluid, probably because your pads are low.

I've had this. Could be a few things. Low brake fluid, which is prob what it is. Could also be worn pads, or possibly the little switch that turns the light on/off could be stuck, sounds silly, but mine did stick, because it was gunked up, clearing it off fixed it.

Thanks guys

Where is the float? I've checked the fluid and its gone down a lot but its still between min and max. Going to change the fluid soon anyway.

Pete I think you're right about the pads, however like the numptie I am I can't check them until my new McGard wheelnut key arrives Can't get my trackday wheels off either

It looks like I need new rear pads, Pete do you have Pagid rear FR for MY95 in stock?

Thanks

Justin

You can get an idea of the pad wear by looking through the wheel. If the backing plate is flush with the carrier, then they are new.

The reservoir is over the turbo, to the left of the clutch reservoir (you'll see the large black, round servo attached to it.

No rears in stock until Thursday.
