Car is a MY00 standard apart from
ITG Filter and Magnex centre and Back.
Running a AE800 (Tek 1 ? nearly) ECU (better MPG and performance)
My question is which is the best downpipe to get, so far TSL and scoobysport seem in the lead, plus will I have any fueling or other problems due to running the AE800.
Plus does anybody have a TSL \ SS dp / Magnex centre and back combination and how loud is it.
Ta in advance.

I run a PPP'd MY00 with a ScoobyMania DownPipe (twin dump) and have no problems with the ecu, even on a standard ecu you shouldnt have any problems, its only when you start to really push your power up that the ecu will have problems coping with fuelling etc otherwise you should be ok

Hi Dave,
I've recently fitted the TSL downpipe and TSL centre to my car (MY99 RB5). I have an STI backbox and to be honest it's still very quiet. There's more of a Turbo whistle and whoosh from the wastegate, but it's not intrusive in the cockpit at all. Not loud enough to have to up the volume on the CD player or here complaints from any of the kids in the back.
Suppose if I change the backbox to a more free-flowing job, the noise levels would increase big time.

Sorry forgot to answer the other question
I've had no problems at all with the AE801 ECU, so can't imagine you having any probs with the AE800.
All downpipes are much of a muchness to be honest and I don't think you'll notice any difference with a twin-dump or single neck job with your mods.
I personally went for the TSL coz I heard there weren't any problems with fitting, TSL have a good reputation (I can confirm they're worth all the praise) and I heard the quality is superb.
Do you have the resonating Magnex centre?
If you have the std one (non-resonating) then it'll be louder and fitting any de-cat DP will change the note of your Magnex backbox more than anything else. It's the BB that generates all the noise.
