engine check light came on last week on motorway only when doing 80 mph and going down and up gradients only. Checked oil and other fliuds but seeing as light goes out when level road encountered im pretty stumped. An theories out there? My98 wagon.

my check engine light has appeard twice in the last 10 months and both times it has been doing 80+ up a hill ? all fluids ok and the light goes out once the car has gone for a few miles. Dealer mutters about oxygen sensor when I've asked but I've got no faith in them.

Its Going into dealers next week, I'll let you know what happens, so far they seem to have their finger on the pulse of the Impreza.
