Question

Having started on the 7.5k / 6 mth intervals in my MY01, I am now due to switch to the 10k / 12 mth intervals. Having had services at 6 mths (6k), then 12 mths (7.4k), I am now 8 mths & 10k further down the line. Dealer recommends 20k service, costing about £205. Booked in for next week.

This all sounds about right to me, but just want to double-check with you guys. Also I am interested as to how others made the switch, & if you got your new Service book promptly & properley stamped.

Yes sounds about right if your car has done 10K miles since the last service.

Mine too has switched, stamping the new service book was easy as the old 15K/12 month service was done at 10K miles.

The old service book should be returned to you as well so you will have a record of its servicing prior to the switch.

I am however sticking to having the oil changed every six months as it is unlikely that the car will cover sufficient mileage to have the car serviced less than every 12 months.

Unhappy

My Subaru dealer can't make their mind up ...

@ 7.5k I phoned to book service and they said .. Your car is transferring to the new 10K service schedule ... Are u sure ?
I asked ... reminding them it was a Euro-Import..
Answer ... Yes !!!

Ok so I wait it out and 10k comes around pretty soon so car gets booked in .... All ok now except when the car was returned .They NOW say it should revert to the 7.5k intervals instead.. because.....
Its a parallel/Euro import !!!

Now I wish they would make their minds up .. But it does not bother me 7.5k intervals ...It is probably better in the long run....It will not hurt the car (only potentially in the short term my wallet !)

Thanks for the replies. Think I'll see if anyone has something to add in 'General'.
