Hi Everyone

I am desperate for some info, I have found this group again in hope
someone can help me!!

basicly I have 3 days to get my clutch fixed on my Scooby Doo 4cam
2l turbo K plate Legacy estate...to cut a very painstaking and
exhausting story short my car was nicked clutch completly blown
away!! insurance have ripped me off to buggery and now they have
given it back to me with loads of bills and hardly any money!! I now
have 3 days to get it back up and running before I lose my job,
girlfriend and probably my sanity!!

So my favour is can anyone please please please give me a very basic
run down on how to replace the clutch in the quickest, cheapest way
humanly possible...I live in Bristol and and will be driving down to
Oakhampton (devon) tomorrow to pick up and work on the car so
popping into a shop/garage on the way to get parts would be perfect
timing.

I have very good set of tools and knowledge so any hinters on
special tools or methods on getting the clutch out would be
fantatstic!!

I will check here hourly for replies

penty@blueyonder.co.uk

Thx so much in advance

done it before but...

jack up.
remove downpipe -- for ease..
knock pins out of driveshafts (inner bits) these then pull of the box if you split the bottom balljoint on the hub...mark the propshaft flanges near the gear lever, undo these 11mm bolts and remove front half of prop.

remove gear linkage.

remove speed sensor or unplug at least.

remove starter motor....

disconnect clutch...

where you removed the starter motor from there is a blank with an allen key slot in... remove this and then screw in a 10 / 11mm bolt and pull this will then remove the clutch fork / arm..

support the box and unbolt everything...

refitting is reverse of removal.. when you put it back together watch out for the wires that run accross the back of the engine, under the intercooler / chargecooler...

its easy enough to do, its just the box is heavy...

mail me if you need owt else.
