Question

Just got a new DCC DT turbo timer with boost gauge.

It comes with the thin pipe for the connection and a T piece to cut into the current pipe.

2 Questions.

1 Is it best to use the "****" on the engine itself rather than the pipe to get the boost connection and it so what have people used to convert the pipe size.

2 If it is best to use the t piece and cut the pipe where is the best place.

Help !

Dave.

Hiya Dave,

I used the "****" on the engine and used a bit of dawes tubing threaded the boost gauge tube into one end, put the other end over the "****" and then tie wrapped top and bottom of the dawes stuff.

Did that help

I was gonna do the t-piece thing and then thought that if i need to remove it, i'm gonna have to get a new pipe. But you know me......lazy as sin

the oe boost gauge fitting instructions say that for pre 99my use a t-piece and for 99my onwards use the "****" on the manifold.

on my old my99 wouldn't read right psi when on t-piece, then read instructions and connected to "****", read correctly. don't know why though!

hope this helps.
