Default Ej207 into wrx

Hi guys. I have a bugeye wagon and of course the bottom end has gone...

I've just purchased an ej207 from a bugeye with the plan to put it in the wrx.. I've done some research ( before I bought it!) and it seems that fitting it isn't a huge complication?

The only thing that seems to be slightly difficult is getting the avcs to work... I don't want to be changing looms, I'm getting the sti ecu with it, and as far as I can work out, I can get an adapter loom that works with the standard loom, sti ecu and avcs... does anyone have any experience of this swap? Thanks

Sounds about right you need a patch loom, a number of places sell it

AVCS Patch Loom This one seems a bit pricey, I remember them being a lot cheaper. JT Innovations used to do them.

This was quite common a number of years ago.

If youre doing away with the wrx tgv's, you can use the wiring from those and swap the pinouts at the ecu to the avcs pinouts

Really? Wow that seems a bit simpler... it'll have the sti inlet which doesn't have them?
