Hi Chaps, I'm thinking of adding a dump valve to my 1998 impreza jdm, pro's and con's would be very helpful, also any recomendations gratefully received.

I had one fitted on my 1998 Impreza when I bought it, after reading all the threads on here I decided to remove it.

Pro's and cons I noticed.

Pro's car boosted better
Wasn't over fuelling and causing exhaust to pop and bang.

Con's no dump valve sound

Pros: You attract 14 year old girls 🙄🙄🙄
cons: bore wash, over fuelling, burnt exhaust valves.

Your choice.
Fit a recirculating type and a decent air intake.
Problems, (all of them), solved.
