Default Breather hose location 2.5L legacy gt

This legacy gt engine is in a 69VW. After buying the car and getting it home, I noticed this breather hose coming off of the upper part of the drivers side head. Can I run this to an external breather, or it is supposed to be connected somewhere on the engine itself?
thanks for your time, Chad.

Thanks Gambit!
that’s what I thought, but being new to turbo Subaru, wanted to make sure.

there are 3 breathers you can run to a catch can. 1 for each head, and then the PCV/Block breather

I don’t have one as yet, but I will def be pickin up one. Should be a very good power to weight ratio with this engine in a stripped out VW bug.
