Question

Can anyone please tell me what the standard boost pressure whould be on a STI5 R.

I have just installed the blitz, t/timer with boost guage and I am reading about 0.98kpha in 1st & 2nd and 1.08kpha in 3,4 & 5th.

I think that the 1.00 kpha is slightly more than a bar, but not sure.

I am not planning to do too many mods but will do the blitx Nur Spec with SS downpipe. Panel replacement filter and a Dastek Unichip Piggyback ECU Remapp.
Can anyone advise a safe boost level to take it to or is the 1bar ish about safe???????

Any info greatly appreciated

Not sure on the figures for your car but the blitz tt measures the pressure in hkpa, I can't find what this is but from other measurements I'm pretty sure it is bars. the kpa is kilopascal and 1bar = 1 x 10 to-the-power 5 pascals. Your figures are similar to mine on UK MY97 the car holds 0.9 bar is 4th and 5th WOT and peaks at 1.1 bar. fuel cut is set at 1.2 bar. Sorry I can't give you figures on your model but I'm sure someone will know. Hope this helps a bit.

I bought my car ready modified with the Link ECU.

Its an STi4 and runs 1.4 (bar?) on the defi gauge. The lambda link and knock link show no ill effects at that boost, but as said, its got a modified ECU.
